Barolo is located in the southwest of Piedmont area. Most of the vineyards are on a small raised area of mostly gentle, but occasionally steep, slopes surrounded by the hills of the Langhe. Soil here is mostly calcareous marl with slightly various between the southeastern half and the northwestern half.

        In tradition, Barolos are aged in very large barrels made from old oak for a long period. However, an evolution happened more than a decade ago. More winemakers are using new barrel in smaller form and the aging period is shortened to retain the freshness from the fruits. Despite those, Barolo is claimed as ‘the king of the wine and the wine of the king.’ for its complexity, charm and long aging potential.

        Hugged by Asti and Alba,Barbaressco DOCG is another great appellation producing Nebbiolo. It is northeast towards Barolo, with Dolcetto di DIano d’Alba lying in between of them. Not quite as the same as Barolo, Barbaressco is less powerful but more elegant and supple than Barolo. Thus, it is also said that Barbaressco is a ferminine version of Barolo.

    巴洛罗位于皮尔蒙大区的西南部。这里大多数的葡萄园都是小规模种植,地势多平坦,地处朗格丘陵的环抱之中。土壤成分多为石灰质泥,但在其东南部和西北部的部分地区土壤成分则稍显复杂。

    传统上,巴洛罗葡萄酒都会在大型的旧橡木桶中陈年很长一段时间。但是自从十多年前的一项技术革新之后,更多的酿酒师开始使用较小一些的新橡木桶,并且缩短了陈年的时间以保持葡萄酒原有的新鲜水果味道。即便有如此的变化,巴洛罗葡萄酒仍旧以其复杂多变的口感和优质的陈年潜力被誉为“酒王之王”。

 

    环抱于阿斯蒂产区和阿尔巴产区之间的巴巴拉斯高DOCG产区是另一个盛产纳比奥罗葡萄的伟大法定命名产区。它位于巴罗洛产区的东北部,当中隔着Dolcetto di DIano d’Alba产区。与巴罗洛葡萄酒不同,巴巴拉斯高葡萄酒的酒精度低一些,口感更优雅、柔顺,因此,有人说,巴巴拉斯高葡萄酒是巴罗洛葡萄酒的女性版。

    介绍完这两个产区以后,想特别给大家介绍两款我很喜欢的酒。

来自巴巴拉斯高2004年的佳雅酒园

    带有令人难忘的丰饶、浓郁、厚重和大气。颗粒小、皮质厚的Nebbiolo酿制而成,从而具有强劲的单宁和浓郁的色泽。劲力强劲、架构清晰、酒体饱满、单宁丰富、酒精度高;通常带有黑浆果、醋栗水果的芳香,偶尔也会散发出干果酱、葡萄干和无花果的香气,伴随着橡木气息。

    丰富的花香味中藏有香料,巧克力和太妃糖的味道。酒体复杂而优雅,口感平衡,有宜人的甜美黑色樱桃果味,还有玫瑰花香,橡木香。

    真是诗人李白说得好,“人生得意须尽欢,莫使金樽空对月”啊!当酒友们有机会喝到这样的美酒之时,可一定要“尽欢”啊!

    这两个产区真是意大利的骄傲和皮尔蒙的骄傲!饮酒人的圣地!
